Security

The integrity of your data is our first priority. We are committed to making your information available to you and protecting it from everyone else.

Encryption:

Paybook uses industry standard AES 256-bit encryption, the same your bank uses, which means your data is scrambled and unreadable to unauthorized parties.

Advanced Encryption Standard (AES) is the encryption technology used to protect top-secret government documents. It requires the same encryption key to both encrypt and decrypt the data, so whoever receives the data must have the encryption key to access it.

Automatic Time-Outs:

For security reasons, if your Paybook session sits idle for ten minutes, Paybook will automatically log you out. You will have a one minute warning prior to the dropped connection to continue with your open session.

Read-Only Access

When you link your accounts, your institutions send read-only data to our system. This means your funds cannot be transferred or withdrawn by anyone, not even you. While Paybook grants you the ability to better organize and understand your finances, nothing done within our system will impact the actual movement of your money.

Physical Security

While our servers are impenetrable, we've housed them in a secure facility that is monitored 24/7. Access is tightly controlled and requires multiple levels of authentication, including ID verification and biometric recognition.

Remember, we will never ask for your account or bank credentials outside our secure system. If you are asked for private financial information via email, phone, or chat, please do not disclose your information, and report this to us at security@paybook.com.
